PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing one or more kinds of dielectric body coating and metal coating from the surface of a highly ground nickel base material. SOLUTION: A nickel base material coated with a dielectric body layer and a metal layer is immersed in a basic solution held in a stainless steel container and dc currents are given to the solution, The polarity of dc current is reversed to remove the coating. Air is blown in the solution to agitate it. Thereafter, when the current direction is reversed, the base material is immersed in an acid bath to remove copper plated on the nickel base material from a copper rack.
