LINK PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved link plate chain particularly for a continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: A large number chain links are provided. These chain links respectively contact with the adjacent two chain links, and have respectively a large number of link plates. The two mutually contacting chain links are respectively connected so as to be turnable. A large number of joint devices having at least two cradle members are respectively provided. At least one fastening preventive device is provided. The fastening preventive device prevents the adjacent two chain links from moving to a relative position for preventing relative motion of these chain links by fastening force or force similar to this force in the direction of the relative position for aligning the chain links in an almost straight line shape.
