PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pH sensitive glass electrode constituting a pH sensor having a high sensitivity, an excellent reproducibilily and a durability, and high reliability by increasing a surface area of a pH sensitive glass tube and preventing a change in concentration of inner liquid without bringing sealing materials of the pH sensitive glass tube into contact with liquid to be measured. SOLUTION: This pH sensitive glass electrode is equipped with a supporting container 2a, the pH sensitive glass tube 3a, a reference electrode, the inner liquid in liquid form or gel form, the sealing materials 6 and a sealing member. The pH sensitive glass tube 3a is formed U-shaped or spiral shaped. The reference electrode is installed within the pH sensitive glass tube 3a and drawn out from at least one end of it. The inner liquid in liquid form or gel form is injected into the pH sensitive glass tube 3a. The sealing materials 6 seal both ends of the pH sensitive glass tube 3a whose at least one end is passed through by the reference electrode. A central part of the pH sensitive glass tube 3a is projected to one end of the supporting container 2a and both ends of it is installed within the supporting container 2a. The sealing member seals outer peripheral surface of the pH sensitive glass tube 3a and inner peripheral surface of the supporting container 2a. |
