PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an operation method, capable of saving the power of a mobile station in a WCDMA system. SOLUTION: This mobile station has a Rake receiver (90), having a plurality of modulator fingers (71, 72 and 73). One of the modulator fingers monitors an adjacent cell, and the other modulator fingers monitor allocated cells. When the mobile station is in idle mode and if the mobile station is in still position, the activity of the modulator is reduced by turning off the modulator finger for monitoring the adjacent cell. |
