PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the property of fixing a toner image on recording paper and to prevent the recording paper from being wrinkled by detecting the environmental condition of a device at the time of forming an image on the recording paper and changing the heating condition of a fixing device in accordance with the detected condition at any time. SOLUTION: Test voltage is applied to a transfer roller 25 provided to be opposed to the photoreceptor drum 21 of the image forming device and an inflow current is detected. Then, data on the environmental condition is obtained based on the detected current value so as to control applied voltage to the heater 28 of the heat roller 27 of the fixing device 26. A controller 30 provided for such purpose performs the control of heating in accordance with a control condition corresponding to the environmental condition such as high temperature and high humidity or low temperature and low humidity, and performs control according to information on the elapsed time after fixation or other conditions. |
