PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of estimating a temperature by a means other than a method using directly temperature dependency of a physical characteristic as to an estimated portion of the temperature. SOLUTION: A transistor 300 exhibits a relatively rapid temperature change in response to heating, and cooling water CLW exhibits a relatively slow temperature change. When the transistor 300 is not heated, the both are converged to a substantially eaqual temperature. One side temperature is estimated therein based on the other side temperature out of a transistor temperature and a cooling water temperature, and based on a current carrying amount in the transistor 300. This method is applied to other temperature estimation such as temperature estimation for a temperature between a stator coil and a stator iron core of a motor. |
