PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the pantograph of an electric rolling stock from being damaged by arcs generated by the contact loss phenomenon of the pantograph and by running of the electric rolling stock in a service stop section. SOLUTION: To the power receiving part of the electric rolling stock, an energy storing apparatus 15 composed of an electrical double layer capacitor 152 as a DC power storing apparatus, and a boosting/deboosting chopper 151 as a power converter, are connected. Voltage change of the power receiving part is suppressed, even when the contact between the pantograph and a trolley wire is lost and so on, and the generation of an arc is prevented. |
