<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic controlled mechanical timepiece which can prevent its user from using the timepiece with a time lag by informing the user of the time lag. SOLUTION: The mechanical timepiece is provided with a rotation control means 50 which controls the rotating cycle of a generator 20 that converts the mechanical energy from a spiral spring 1a into electrical energy. The control means 50 makes brake control for speed adjustment when the value of an up- down counter 54 to which the rotation detecting signal FG1 corresponding to the rotating cycle of the generator 20 and a reference signal fs are imputted becomes faster up to a first set value due to the rotating cycle of the generator 20. In addition, when the value of the counter 54 becomes slower down to a second set value due to the rotating cycle of the generator 20 in a state where the generator 20 is not braked, the control means 50 performs brake control for stopping hand drive. When the hand drive is delayed due to the rotational speed of the generator 20 that becomes slower, this timepiece can inform the user of abnormal hand drive by stopping the hand drive or making the hand drive very slow.</p> |
