<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system which includes the image head of a semiconductor gamma camera replacing an Angerscintillation camera, a signal processor, a data gathering system, and an image processing computer. SOLUTION: The image head includes a detector 200 and an opening 205 which directs radiation to the detector. The detector is equipped with high- density mounted detection modules 206. Each detection module is equipped with a plurality of detecting elements. Each detecting element is fitted to a circuit carrier. The circuit carrier includes a channel for adjusting and processing electric pulses generated when the detecting elements absorb radiation. The amplitude of a pulse shows the intensity of the radiation. A detection module finds only an effective event, i.e., a detecting element having a stored amplitude exceeding a predetermined threshold by using a fall-through circuit.</p> |
