PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the conventional module that the deviation of optical axis is generated by the machining error during the fixing operation by welding, resulting in optical coupling efficiency being deteriorated. SOLUTION: Using a pair of angles 11 equipped with an angle shoulder part 11b that is fixed on a sleeve 3 provided for an optical fiber 2 and with an angle leg part 11c that is fixed on a chip carrier 7, the sleeve 3 is mounted independently on the chip carrier 7.
