PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefied gas evaporator that is improved in the efficiency of evaporation. SOLUTION: The liquefied gas evaporator comprises a heat exchange part 3 for evaporating liquefied gas in a liquid phase via heating, a nozzle 17 for atomizing liquefied gas in a liquid phase into the heat exchange part 3, a heating means 29 for heating the heat exchange part 3, and passages 31 into which vaporized liquefied gas in a vapor phase flows. The heat exchange part 3 has a substantially horizontal evaporating surface 27 on which the atomized liquefied gas in a liquid phase evaporates. The evaporating surface 27 has grooves 41 formed in the evaporating surface 27, and projections 43 arranged at the bottoms of the grooves 41. The difference in temperature between the surfaces of the projections 43 and the liquefied gas in a liquid phase accumulated in the grooves 41 can be thus set in such a temperature difference range as provides a substantially nucleate boiling state, which can efficiently vaporize the liquefied gas in a liquid phase via heat exchange with the projections 43 to improve the efficiency of evaporation.
