PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new carbamate group-containing, non-chloranil-based triphendioxazine compound readily convertible into a corresponding triphendioxazine pigment having no carbamate group, and providing the use not only for the pigment but also for a light-sensitive recording material, a photoluminescent and electroluminescent materials, a cosmetic or the like. SOLUTION: This carbamate group-containing triphendioxazine compound is obtained by fusing the A-ring or the B-ring of a dioxazine skeleton of general formula I, for example, with a heterocycle of general formula 1, and concretely exemplified by the compound having a structural formula of general formula II.
