PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise sales system which sends effective remainder mail to a buyer and attains merchandise purchase corresponding to characteristics of an article. SOLUTION: The transmission date of electronic mail reminding a customer to buy the merchandise again is computed according to order reception data regarding the article whose order is received from the customer and characteristic data regarding the merchandise and at the calculated date, the electronic mail is sent to a mail address of the customer.
