<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint that can facilitate a discharge of fluid as contents from a tank and the like of a high internal pressure and can improve the safeness of the fluid discharge operation. SOLUTION: The pipe joint comprises a releasable-connection socket 2 having a proper locking mechanism 23, and a plug 1. The plug 1 has a ball valve 5 rotatable to open and close a fluid passage 4 in a plug body 3, and a valve switching operator 6 with one end fixed to the ball valve 5 and the other end projected outside the plug body 3. The socket 2 has on a socket body 21 an operator rotator 22 engaged with the valve switching operator 6, when the socket 2 and the plug 1 are interconnected, so as to rotate the valve switching operator 6.</p> |
