PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily make a user aware of an integrated transmission/reception packet amount even during communication. SOLUTION: This terminal is provided with a display part for controlling the transmission of light and displaying characters or graphics, a backlight provided with the plural light emitting means of different light emitting colors for irradiating the display part with the light, a packet amount counting part for counting a packet amount during the communication, a first storage part for successively integrating, storing and holding the counted packet amount, a second storage part for storing and holding the packet amount set beforehand, a comparison part for comparing the packet amounts respectively stored and held in the first and second storage parts and a light emitting color switching part for switching the light emitting color of the backlight to the other color in the case that the packet amount stored and held in the first storage part exceeds the packet amount stored and held in the second storage part based on a compared result by the comparison part.
