PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a circuit and a method for the temperature compensation of a temperature-dependent constitution element of a detector for improving temperature compensation performance of a scintillation detector. SOLUTION: The scintillation detector which is reduced in sensitivity to temperature is actualized by providing two circuits for temperature compensation. Those two circuits are composed of a circuit of both a resistance element and a switching element and a thermistor connected thereto in parallel. The switching element can be various elements including a Zener diode, a Schottky barrier diode, or an MIM. The circuits for temperature compensation are included in the circuit of an optical detector like a photomultiplier tube.
