The wave energy generation system has energy capture units with their outputs connected to a pipeline (4) delivering water jets to a Pelton wheel that drives an electric generator. Each energy capture unit has a water pump on the sea bed. As a wave rises, a float (1), connected by a rope (2), raises a weighted arm on the pump (3), drawing in sea water which is then delivered as the wave falls.
