摘要 A surfactant is formed by at least one particle of nanometric dimensions, based on metal oxide, hydroxide and/or oxy-hydroxide, having non-evenly distributed surface-bound hydrophobic organic chains, resulting in amphiphilic character of thus modified particle surface. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) an emulsifying composition comprising at least one surfactant as above; (ii) the production of the emulsifying composition, comprising a stage of forming of an emulsion from an aqueous phase and a hydrophobic phase, in the presence of a molecular surfactant and colloidal particles of metal oxide, hydroxide and/or oxy-hydroxide, of nanometric dimensions and hydrophilic surface, conducted in such a way as to ensure anchoring of the colloidal particles associated with the molecular surfactants with the water/oil interfaces of the emulsion, while avoiding transferring of the colloidal particles associated with the molecular surfactant to hydrophobic phase, and, if the interactions between such particles and molecular surfactants are sufficiently weak for easy removal of the latter, a second stage of fixing of chains, using covalent bonds, on the surface of thus oriented anchored particles, and a third stage of elimination of initially introduced molecular surfactants; (iii) emulsifying composition obtained using above process; (iv) the use of an emulsifying composition to stabilize a water/oil or oil/water emulsion, in an amount 10-80 wt.% per weight of the emulsion plus stabilizer; or use of the emulsifying composition in concentrated form, to stabilize a water/oil or oil/water or multiple emulsion, in an amount of 10-200 wt.% per weight of disperse phase of emulsion plus stabilizer; and (v) the use of the emulsifying composition in the production of detergent compositions, or in making of film or material with anti-UV, anti-corrosion or opacity inducing properties.
