PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor by which an operator can easily perform fax transmission without inputting a telephone number and transmit a read image as an attached file to the e-mail address by describing the telephone number of an e-mail address at the end part of an original, a communication system, a communication controlling method and a storage medium. SOLUTION: This image processor is provided with an image scanner 5b for reading an image from an original, a printer 5c for recording the image on recording paper, a fax controller 5d for transmitting the read image through a telephone line 3, a character recognizing means 5f for recognizing character information, and a controller 5a for performing control to connect to the telephone line 3 and to transmit an original image to the opposite party of the telephone number by the fax controller 5d in the case of recognizing character information described in a prescribed area of the original as the telephone number by the character recognizing means 5f. |
