PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decrease of exposure at the edge of an electrostatic recording body in an image information reader for performing exposure scanning of the plate-shaped electrostatic recording body with reading light emitted from a LED array composed of many linearly arranged light emitting points and reading image information. SOLUTION: The LED array 103 is composed of many LED elements and performs exposure scanning of the electrostatic recording body 101 in the vertical direction of a diagram while linearly emitting light to the electrostatic recording body 101. When the distance between the array 103 and the recording body 101 is defined as L, the both longitudinal end parts of the array 103 respectively project from the edges of the recording body 101 by length L tan 40 deg.. For this reason, the decrease of an exposure is small even in the edges of the recording body 101 because the edges are exposed by reading light emitted from a plurality of LED elements. The reading light emitted from the light emitting points arranged at the edges of the array 103 is efficiently made incident on the recording body 101 while the reading light is hardly reflected. |
