PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform decoding and rotating processing of image data faster by simultaneously performing rotating processing of certain image data while decoding another image data. SOLUTION: This image decoding and rotating circuit 1 is provided with a decoding circuit 2, a ring buffer (RAM) 3 and a rotating processing circuit 4. The ring buffer 3 is provided with two sets of line buffers (first line buffer group 31 and second line buffer group 32). The decoding circuit 2 decodes encoded image data while reading the encoded image data and stores the decoded image data in one line buffer, and at the same time with this, the rotating processing circuit 4 applies rotating processing to the decoded image data held in the other line buffer group. |
