PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact double slide mechanism thoroughly prevented from dust generation, to provide a control technique for increasing speed and precision, and to provide an inexpensive and reliable device for manufacturing color filters and the color filters manufactured. SOLUTION: This double side device comprises at least two sliders 203 and 204 reciprocating on the same line, a motor 211, a ball screw 205 for changing rotation of the motor 211 into linear motion, and a linear scale 215 as a position detector for detecting positions of the sliders 203 and 204, and positions each of the sliders 203 and 204 at a specified position by a command. A common guide rail 202 is provided to the sliders 203 and 204 as a guide for reciprocating motion thereof.
