PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film coil which has a small coil pitch and a large sectional area and which is easily manufactured. SOLUTION: The thin-magnetic head is provided with a reproducing head and a recording head. The recording head is provided with a lower magnetic pole layer 8 and upper magnetic pole layers (a magnetic pole part layer 41, a magnetic layer 42 and a yoke part layer 43), a recording gap layer 12 formed between the respective magnetic pole layers of the two magnetic layers, and thin-film coil having at least a part disposed between the two magnetic pole layers in the state of being insulated from the two magnetic pole layers. The thin-film coil has first and second layer parts 31 and 34 disposed through the recording gap layer 12. The respective ends of the first and second layer parts 31 and 34 are connected to each other by connecting parts 31a and 34a, and the respective other end of the first and second layer pats 31 and 34 are connected to each other by connecting parts 31b and 34b. |
