PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the scanning optical paths of respective lasers of a printer which uses the lasers to form pixels having substantially the same width and position. SOLUTION: A system (10) renders an output image on an image transfer surface (15) by using the scanning optical paths (60, 62) of an image rendering device (12). The system (10) includes the lasers (20, 22), scanning time detectors (64, 66), and a processing circuit (48). The lasers (20, 22) are so constituted as to form the scanning optical paths (60, 62) on the surface (15). The scanning time detectors (64, 66) are related to the corresponding lasers (20, 22) and operate to measure the scanning times of the lasers (20, 22) along the respective scanning optical paths (60, 62). The processing circuit (48) communicates with the scanning time detectors (64, 66) to generate video signals having video frequencies relating to the detected scanning times of the lasers (20, 22). A method for that is also provided. |
