PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image pickup device which can ensure suitably a gap size of an image forming path between an image pickup lens and an image pickup element, when errors exist in the kind of the image pickup lens and the working precision of an abutting surface of a lens body structure. SOLUTION: This image pickup device is provided with the image pickup element 2 having a light receiving part 2a for receiving a light on the main surface side of a substrate 1 in which an aperture is formed, and a sheathing cap 11 for supporting the image pickup lens 3 which forms an image of a light on the light receiving part 2a through the aperture part on the other main surface side of the substrate 1. By applying pressing pressure of the cap 11 to adhesive agent interposed between the cap 11 and the substrate 1, the cap 11 is held on the substrate 1 at a position where an image is formed in the light receiving part 2a. |
