SOLUTION: This navigation area management system 1 is nearly constituted of a work ship side computer 3 and a measurement ship side computer 5, which are respectively mounted on a work ship 2 and a measurement ship 4, and a management side computer 6 arranged apart from the ships 2 and 4. A GPS measuring instrument 7 is connected to the computers 3 and 5. An ultrasonic depth sounder 10 for measuring the depth of water under the measurement ship 4 is connected to the measurement ship side computer 5. In the meantime, the management side computer 6 generates water-depth map based on water- depth data and GPS measurement data, which are received from the computer 5, transmits data and displays the water-depth map by picture together with its own ship position through the use of the work ship side computer 3 and the measurement ship side computer 5.
