PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support user's selection of tools for test by storing an area separation result used in picture processing at the time of copying and storing the inclination of a copied document and using this copy inclination of the document to display degrees of importance of tools for test to be used for evaluation of the copy quality of a copying machine. SOLUTION: A device for supporting evaluation of the copy quality of the copying machine comprises a CPU, first and second memories, and the display device, and areas of zones separated at the time of picture processing are accumulated by classifications of zones by the CPU, and accumulated data is stored in the first memory, and tools for test used to evaluate a copy picture are preliminarily stored in the second memory in relation to classifications of zones, and degrees of importance of tools for test are calculated on the basis of the inclination of the document indicated by accumulated data of separated zones, and calculated degrees of importance of tools are displayed on the display device.
