PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a security system in terms of security, the security system setting and releasing an electric lock, based on identification information. SOLUTION: The security system 1 is comprised of a server 2 set in a room, and a door 3, and functions to locking and unlocking of the door 3 by means of a key 4. The door 3 includes a key hole 32 formed therein, and only the key 4 having the shape conforming to the key hole 32 is available. When the key 4 is set in the key hole 32, the ID information stored in the key 4 is output to the door 3. The ID information is transmitted by radio waves from the door 3 to the server 2, and determination as to the suitability of the information is made by the server 2. If it is determined that the ID information stored in the key 4 is suitable, the door 3 is unlocked.
