PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device capable of adjusting the height thereof and supporting a door stably and rotatably. SOLUTION: The hinge device is composed of a building-side fitting 16a provided with a lower support body 21 at a mounting bracket 20 and a door-side fitting 16b provided with an upper support body 31 at a mounting bracket 30. The support body 31 is formed in such a manner that a rotor 36 is screwed for connection with the lower part of a shaft 35. The rotor 36 and the upper part of the support body 21 are rotatably fitted together for the purpose of rotatably connecting the fittings 16a, 16b together. The rotor 36 is rotated in one direction in order to make the shaft 35 move upward, a spacer 44 is mounted between the shaft 35 and the rotor 36, and the rotor 36 is rotated in the other direction so as to be fastened and fixed to the shaft 35 for height adjustment.
