PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire lock which is enhanced in strength of a hook portion without degrading the operational ease thereof. SOLUTION: The wire lock uses a wire 21 to form the hook portion 2 thereof. The hook portion 2 is formed by covering the periphery of the wire 21 with a metallic sheath body 3 over the entire length thereof, and further covering the metallic sheath body with a synthetic resin tube 22 over the entire length thereof. The sheath body 3 is formed by alternately arranging tubular tie members 31 formed of quenched steel, and tubular joint members 32 formed of quenched steel, whereby it is bendable at locations corresponding to the joint members.
