PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin foam body heat insulating material for a house easy to execute, causing little material loss, little gap between the heat insulating material and a column or the like, with high airtightness. SOLUTION: A flat plate-shaped and nearly right triangular first synthetic resin foam body heat insulating material 1a is arranged between the column 11 and a stud 12, between floor joists, or between rafters of the house so that the short side abuts on a floor surface 14 side. The inclined side of a nearly right triangular second synthetic resin foam body heat insulating material 1b is superposed and closely stuck to the inclined side of the first heat insulating material 1a. The tip portion of the long side of the second heat insulating material 1b protruded from the inclined side of the first heat insulating material 1a and the tip portion of the long side of the first heat insulating material 1a protruded from the short side of the second heat insulating material 1b are cut off respectively to form the nearly rectangular synthetic resin foam body heat insulating material.
