PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the automatic detection of an information detecting point when a second photographing mode is selected by reflecting the intention of a photographer. SOLUTION: This camera possesses controlling means (103, 104 and 106) to perform operation (107-114) in a mode as set by an information detecting point selection mode selecting means in selecting a first photographing mode, to perform automatic selection operation (103 and 104) of the information detecting point by including the data of the line of sight when the selection mode of the line of sight is set by the information detecting point selecting mode selecting means when selecting the second photographing mode, and to perform the automatic selection operation of the information detecting point by disregarding the data of the line of sight when the non-selection mode of the line of sight is set. |
