PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load on a receiver performing both-face reception by making it possible to perform both-face recording at a receiving side with simple processing. SOLUTION: A CPU 22 requests the transmission sequence of both-face original information from a transmitter in the case of operating as a receiver. The transmission order of the both-face original information to be requested to the transmitter is decided in accordance with the recording sequence of the both-face original information in which the receiver can efficiently perform image recording. In the case of operating as a transmitter, if the requested transmission sequence can be satisfied, the images on both faces are transmitted in the transmission sequence. Whether transmission with the requested transmission sequence is notified to the receiver. When to request the transmission sequence of the both-face original information from the transmitter is decided in the receiver in accordance with prescribed conditions, e.g. the residual quantity of a memory which the receiver can use for memory reception.
