The heat regulator consists of a heat pump (12) and principal circuit (14) drawing heat from a cold source (16) to transfer it to the hot source (18), and the element to cool an exothermic organ of the vehicle, using cooling circuit connected to a heat exchanger (50). The cold and hot sources comprise heat exchangers (24, 34) and couple thermally the principal circuit to secondary circuits (26, 36), which may be selectively coupled to the cooling heat exchanger (50), an external heat exchanger (30) or to the designated hot or cold sources (32, 39). An Independent claim is also included for the method for regulating heat in vehicle.
