METHOD OF MEASURING STRAIN OR TENSILE FORCE OF TENSION STEEL MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain or tensile force measuring method for a tension steel member applied with tensile force. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 16 having a strain sensor part 16a is fixed to the tension steel member 10 so that the sensor part receives a strain equal to the strain caused by tensile force fluctuation of the steel member, a light beam is made incident from an optical fiber end part, a reflected beam reflected from the sensor part in response to the strain subjected to the sensor part is received from the optical fiber end part to be compared with a wavelength of a set reflected beam before strained, and a strain is detected based on a difference therebetween to calculate the tensile force subjected to the tension steel member based on the strain.
