PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a burner with a plurality of burner ports by improving the blow-off limit of flame without complicating the structure of the burner with a plurality of burner ports most frequently used in small combustion devices so that a high load combustion and a high turn-down ratio can be realized. SOLUTION: In the burner A with a plurality of burner ports including the plural burner ports 23 partitioned by rims 22a on the surface of the burner, when an area surrounded by a line for connecting together the edge parts of the burner ports located in the outermost sides of a group of burner ports is defined as an 'actual burner port', peripheral walls 27a and 27b are provided upright at positions spaced by prescribed distance (d) (preferably, about 1 to 6 mm) from the outer edges of the actual burner part 7 so as to extend along the outer edges of the actual burner port.
