PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a security system in terms of security, the security system setting and releasing an electric lock, based on information recorded in a card. SOLUTION: The security system 1 is comprised of a server 2 set in a room, the electric lock device 5 installed in a door 4, for locking the door 4, and a card 3 corresponding to the server 2, and functions such that ID information is transmitted by radio waves from the card 3 when the card 3 approaches the electric lock device 5. The server 2 receives the ID information transmitted from the card 3, and determines whether the ID information is suitable. Only when it is determined that the ID information is suitable, the server 2 transmits an unlocking control signal to the electric lock device 5. Upon reception of the unlocking control signal, the electric lock device 5 releases locking of the door 4.
