PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sea water permeable breakwater capable of increasing a permeable amount of sea water with a simple structure and efficiently reducing a transmission coefficient of wave height. SOLUTION: Wave absorbing columns having a plurality of rows are arranged to a part of the breakwater in the neighborhood of the surface of a levee body, a sea water permeable section having the whole surface to be opened is provided, and the bottom of the permeable section becomes a slope lowered toward the outside area of the levee from the central part of a section of the levee body.
