A predetermined amount of test liquid is allowed to pass through a tube. Ultrasonic waves are input into the tube through ultrasonic transmitter. An ultrasonic receiver receives the Doppler signal generated as a result of impedance difference between liquid and bubble. The ultrasonic transmitter and receiver are arranged outside the tube imperviously.
