The sliding movement device consists of an inflatable float for each leg, on top of which is a stable plate to receive a special type of shoe enabling the device to be firmly attached to the swimmer's leg. An eye is fitted at the front end of the plate, to which a safety line can be attached. There are screws with wing-nuts at the front and rear ends to which telescopic rods can be attached to stabilize the spacing of the swimmer's legs.
