Bindings are mounted on snow-boards etc. using a fastening plate (1) which contains a pattern of holes (6,7) to allow attachment to the snow-board with screws. The hole pattern allows two-dimensional adjustment of the plate in two directions which are perpendicular to one another and parallel to the upper side of the snow-board. Preferably the fastening plate is circular and fits into a corresponding circular opening of a base part of the binding. The pattern comprises long rows of holes and parallel short rows of holes. Slots may be provided in place of circular holes. A central hole (4) is preferably provided for identification of a mark on the snow-board.
