Method involves cutting paper strip (W) into sub-strips with longitudinal cuts, whereby sub-strips (W1-W4) are wound onto separate rollers (R1-R3) on common core (3), after which rollers are separated. Cutting points for separating rollers are determined on basis of position demands for longitudinal cuts. Demands are entered into memory and cutting points on inside of winding core for dividing rollers are automatically determined on basis of stored data. An Independent claim is also included for a winding arrangement for paper strip.
