The arrangement for securing a vertical axle (2) for mounting an illumination object is enclosed in a housing (9) provided with a bottom recess (10) down through which the axle extends, and a first capture element (12), in particular a capture disc, arranged above the recess between the two ends (4,6) of the axle (2). The capture disc (12) is fixed on the axle (2) and its horizontal width is greater than the inside width of the recess (10). A second capture element (14) is provided, especially with a capture cable.
