<p>A dynamo-electric machine and a fan motor for vehicle capable of reducing the variation width of a current waveform thereof resulting from the occurrence of a coil in short-circuited state so as to reduce vibration and noise, wherein the commutator (26) of the fan motor for vehicle is formed of 12 segments (24) and a pair of positive and negative electrode brushes are pressed against the commutator, at least one set of segments among those formed by such combinations of the segments (24) that the brushes are brought into contact with the segments at the same time is formed at the pitches different from each other, and the timing of occurrence and the timing of release of the coil in short-circuited state produced in an armature are deviated between both brushes, whereby the variation width of the current waveform supplied at least to the coil wired to the one set of segments (24) is reduced, the vibration, a variation in rotating torque, or noise of the dynamo-electric machine is reduced remarkably, and also the service life thereof is prolonged.</p> |
