The method involves expanding a hollow body partially under inner pressure. The hollow body moves relative to a counter body (12). The normal contact forces and the friction forces are simultaneously measured. Preferably, the inner pressure and the relative speeds can be definitely controlled. The pressure increase can be at the same time as the relative movement or before it. An Independent claim is included for a device for implementing the method.
