PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring resistivity of ram required on extruder which is reliable and used for a long time are provided. CONSTITUTION: The resistivity monitoring apparatus using optical fiber in coke oven comprises a strain gauge(17) installed on a driving shaft of a ram(5) of an extruder to measure degree of rotational distortion of the driving shaft; a rotor(16) for amplifying signals of the strain gauge; a stator(15) for receiving signals of the rotor; a distance measuring device comprising a sawtoothed rotary tool installed on the shaft, a sensor for sensing signals when contacted with saw teeth of the rotary tool and a device for sensing rotational distance of the shaft by adding up the signals; a temperature sensing device attached to the surface of the shaft to sense temperature of the shaft; a speed sensing device for sensing rotational speed of the shaft; and a data analyzing monitor(23) comprising an optical fiber for transmitting the measured distortion degree, temperature, rotational distance and rotational speed of the shaft to the computer and a computer(18) for measuring resistivity of the ram(5) according to flue length of the coke oven by receiving signals transmitted through the optical fiber.
