<p>An ultrasonic dosage device having an enclosure for providing a medication in the form of a nebulized mist, including an energy source (6) and a vibration device (36). An assembly (94) is attached to the enclosure (3) and has a membrane (104) disposed between the vibration device (36) and the medication for containing the medication and maintaining the medication in contact with the vibration device (36) only by way of the membrane (104), whereby the membrane (104) is vibrated and the medication is thereby converted into the mist when power is applied to the vibration device (36). The ultrasonic system supplies atomized particles for application to a person and has a medication assembly (94) sealingly containing a medication and being detachably secured to the enclosure (3). A nebulizer for atomizing the medication provides a mist formed of a plurality of particles of the medicine. A chamber (96) conducts the mist therethrough to the user and an electrostatic device (98) is disposed adjacent the chamber (96) for applying an electrostatic charge to the mist as the mist is conducted therethrough. The electrostatic device (98) can be disposed adjacent a container chamber or a charged chamber (100) of the ultrasonic dosage device.</p> |
