To produce the glass stopper, in a bottle spring clip closure structure, a charge of molten glass (20) is drawn into the mold (2) by underpressure. The underpressure is generated at the base (9) of the molding zone (5) below a narrowed waist (12). The glass charge is cooled when it has filled the mold, by direct contact with a cooling die.
