An interchangeable flexible probe limb (1.3) with a probe head (1.2), is firmly attached to a rigid probe arm (1.4). An optical deflector (1.5) detects the deflection of the head on the surface of channel (2). A pair of resistive strain gages converts measured deflection into electrical signal for evaluation.
