The assembly to carry a flocking/air mixture through a pipe channel (7) to a laying station (4), to form an absorbent pad (2), has a pneumatic unit (20) to dissipate flocking clumps. The flocking/air mixture flow is accelerated to scatter or tear the clumps apart. The pneumatic clump dissipater is at the downstream end of the pipe channel, as a jet at the center of the pipe cross section. It has at least one compressed air channel to accelerate the material flow. The clump dissipater is a tubular injector jet, with a flow zone for the flocking/air mixture. It has at least one passage opening for the compressed air into the flow zone, to accelerate the material. At least one passage opening is linked to a ring channel, for the compressed air supply. A number of compressed air passages are feed channels, at equal angular intervals around the flow zone, with their axes parallel to the longitudinal axis of the injector jet, so that the compressed air flow axially into the flow direction of the flocking/air mixture. Or the passage axes are at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the injector jet, to give axial and radial components to the compressed air flow. The passage angle ( alpha ) meets the inequation 0 ≤ alpha ≤ 50 degrees or 5 degrees ≤ alpha ≤ 30 degrees . An Independent claim is included for an assembly for the production of an absorbent pad, with a pneumatic unit to dissipate clumps in the flocking/air mixture flow before it is shaped into the pad. Preferred Features: The flocking/air mixture flow is accelerated to supersonic speeds to about twice the speed of sound. |
